Carol Black is a thoughtful writer and filmmaker. Among her many accomplishments, she directed the documentary film "Schooling the World," which highlights the impacts of institutional schooling on small-scale land-based societies. She writes beautiful essays on unschooling and self-directed education and is one of the most perceptive and inspirational voices in today's movement.
